Tchaikovsky's Fifth
This week's concert starts with a bang: six minutes of in-your-face Techno/Rock/Motown Symphonic that it's composer, Todd Levin, calls "Blur." Then, one of the rising stars of classical music, Leonidas Kavakos, comes to the stage to perform the rarely done Violin Concerto of Carl Nielsen. And the concert wraps with the crowd-pleaser, Tchaikvosky's Symphony No. 5.
