The great Spanish-born conductor Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos makes a rare stop in Minneapolis this week to lead the Orchestra in Technicolor music from Italy, Spain, and France-including the two splashiest orchestral pieces of the early 1900s: Respighi's Fountains and Pines of Rome. And one of the Minnesota Orchestra's hidden treasures, principal harpist Kathy Kienzel, get centerstage attention in a pair of beautiful works written for this heavenly instrument.
