Adam Kuenzel
Brahms Violin Concerto
This week Osmo Vänskä continues to introduce Minnesotans to the composer he considers a neglected 20th-century master: Denmark's Carl Nielsen. Principal flute Adam Kuenzel plays the warm-hearted Nielsen Flute Concerto. Kuenzel is as well known within the Orchestra for his athletic feats as for his silvery tone: on a recent Orchestra tour of the state, he pedaled his bicycle between the tour cities instead of taking the bus—racking up 240 miles in three days!

MOZART: Symphony No. 35, K. 385, Haffner
NIELSEN: Flute Concerto
SHOSTAKOVICH: Symphony No. 5

Osmo Vänskä, conductor
Adam Kuenzel, flute
